These cover plates are intended to cover speaker holes in your drywall when no speakers are present. This is especially useful during building inspection prior to installing speakers. Speakercraft speaker hole covers are constructed with painted steel front plates and rugged plastic "dog legs" that grab the back of the drywall. The cover plate is held in place by two screws with spacers attaching it to the dog leg. Although designed for Speakercraft AIM8, AIM Wide, AIM8 DT, CRS8, TIME8, and BAS8 series of in-ceiling speakers, it will fit holes made from other makes and models of in-ceiling speakers.
